What is the difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of ZATCA?
Phase 1 (Generation): Issue e-invoices in a defined format with QR. Phase 2 (Integration): Direct integration with Fatoora platform — invoices sent to ZATCA in real-time before delivery (for B2B tax invoices via Clearance) or shortly after issuance (for B2C simplified via Reporting).
Do I need to buy a digital certificate for ZATCA?
No. POS SAAS auto-generates, registers, and renews your certificate without any manual step. The certificate is annual and auto-renews 30 days before expiry.
What if a ZATCA submission fails?
The invoice remains legally valid for the customer, and the system retries every 5 minutes until success. The invoice shows status "Pending Confirmation" until submission completes.
What is the difference between Tax Invoice and Simplified Invoice?
Tax Invoice (Standard B2B): Issued to VAT-registered taxpayers; sent to ZATCA for "Clearance" before delivery to customer. Simplified Invoice (B2C): Issued to regular consumers; sent to ZATCA for "Reporting" within 24 hours.
